This Red Cross CPR course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to respond confidently and effectively to cardiovascular emergencies. Whether you're new to CPR or seeking certification for work or volunteer requirements, this course offers practical, hands-on learning aligned with the latest guidelines.

Course Completion Requirements

To successfully complete the course, participants must:

  • Proficiently demonstrate the required CPR skills and emergency procedures

  • Achieve a minimum of 75% on the written knowledge evaluation

  • Attend and actively participate in 100% of the course

🏅 Certification

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive:

  • A CPR Level A or C certificate, valid for 3 years

  • A digital certificate issued by the Canadian Red Cross

🔁 Recertification

  • CPR Level A: Recertification is not available.

  • CPR Level C:
    In-Class Option:
    3.5 hours
    Blended Option: 2 hours online + 2.5 hours in class
    Note: Online learning time may vary depending on the learner's pace.

📚 Course Content

CPR Level A (Adults Only)

  • Introduction to the Canadian Red Cross

  • Emergency scene management and response

  • Check, Call, Care protocol

  • Recovery position and basic airway management

  • Adult choking procedures

  • Assistance with medications

  • Recognizing signs of angina and heart attack

  • Recognizing and responding to stroke

  • CPR and AED use for adults

  • Managing life-threatening bleeding

CPR Level C (Adults, Children & Infants)

Includes all CPR A content, plus:

  • Choking procedures for children and infants

  • CPR and AED use for children and infants

  • Additional content as required by specific workplace or provincial legislation
