Service Description
Basic First Aid Course Duration: 1 Day (8 Hours In-Person) Designed for individuals with little or no previous first aid experience, this Canadian Red Cross Basic First Aid course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond confidently to workplace and everyday emergencies. Participants will benefit from instructor-led demonstrations, interactive discussions, hands-on skill development, realistic scenarios, and engaging group activities in a supportive classroom environment. Course Features 1-day (8-hour) in-person training Beginner-friendly – no prior experience required Traditional classroom learning experience Interactive instruction with games and group activities Hands-on practice using realistic emergency scenarios Meets Canadian Red Cross certification standards Course Topics Include The Canadian Red Cross and the Principles of First Aid Preparing to Respond to Emergencies Understanding the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System Check, Call, Care® Airway Emergencies Breathing and Circulation Emergencies Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest (CPR & AED) Wound Care and Bleeding Control Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid certificate and gain the confidence to provide immediate care until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrive."

Cancellation Policy
Cancelation: Transferring or Canceling a Course and Requesting a Refund • Canceling courses: Participants can cancel for a full refund or transfer to a different course date at no additional cost if they notify My Host Training via email ( info@myhosttraining.com ) at a minimum of 72 hours before the course start date. Missed Deadlines for Cancellation or Transfer • If a student does not notify My Host Training within the required time frame for cancellation or transfer, they are not eligible for a refund and are responsible for the full course fee. Late Arrivals • Certification conditions require students to participate in the full class, students who arrive late may not be allowed to join the class due to the missed time and content. Late students are not eligible for a refund and are responsible for the full course fee. Absentees • Students who fail to attend the course without prior notification are considered no-shows. No-shows are not eligible for a refund and are responsible for the full course fee. Illness-Related Absences • If a student cannot attend a course due to illness, a doctor’s note may be required to allow for a course date transfer. My Host Training must be notified 24hours before the course begins for the transfer to be allowed. Course Cancellations by My Host Training • My Host Training reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment or unexpected instructor emergencies. If a course is canceled, participants will be offered the option to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a full refund. Failed Course Completion • If a student is unsuccessful in a course, they may re-register for the same course on a new date at a discounted rate of 50% off the original fee, up to a maximum of $200 plus applicable taxes. This discount is valid for up to 3 months after the original course date. If the student is unsuccessful a second time, future registrations will be charged at the full price.
