Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Training Course Description Our Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Training is designed for anyone who handles, offers for transport, transports, or receives dangerous goods in Canada. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the federal Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, helping participants understand their legal responsibilities and how to safely transport hazardous materials by road. Whether you are new to TDG or require refresher training, this course equips you with the practical knowledge needed to reduce risks and maintain compliance. Upon successful completion, participants will have the confidence to identify dangerous goods, complete shipping documentation, recognize safety marks, and respond appropriately to emergencies involving dangerous goods. What You Will Learn Understand the purpose and requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations. Identify the nine classes of dangerous goods and their associated hazards. Recognize TDG labels, placards, UN numbers, and safety marks. Learn the responsibilities of consignors, carriers, and consignees. Complete and interpret TDG shipping documents. Understand packaging, handling, loading, and segregation requirements. Know the exemptions and special cases under the TDG Regulations. Respond safely to spills, leaks, or transportation emergencies. Understand reporting requirements and emergency response procedures. Apply safe transportation practices to reduce workplace risks and remain compliant. Recognize the different WHMIS hazard classes and pictograms. Read and interpret supplier and workplace labels. Locate and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Identify the hazards associated with common workplace chemicals. Learn safe handling, storage, and disposal procedures for hazardous products. Select and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Understand emergency procedures for spills, leaks, fires, and accidental exposure. Know your rights and responsibilities as a worker under WHMIS. Apply safe work practices to reduce the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses. Certificate: Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion."

Cancellation Policy

Cancelation: Transferring or Canceling a Course and Requesting a Refund • Canceling courses: Participants can cancel for a full refund or transfer to a different course date at no additional cost if they notify My Host Training via email ( info@myhosttraining.com ) at a minimum of 72 hours before the course start date. Missed Deadlines for Cancellation or Transfer • If a student does not notify My Host Training within the required time frame for cancellation or transfer, they are not eligible for a refund and are responsible for the full course fee. Late Arrivals • Certification conditions require students to participate in the full class, students who arrive late may not be allowed to join the class due to the missed time and content. Late students are not eligible for a refund and are responsible for the full course fee. Absentees • Students who fail to attend the course without prior notification are considered no-shows. No-shows are not eligible for a refund and are responsible for the full course fee. Illness-Related Absences • If a student cannot attend a course due to illness, a doctor’s note may be required to allow for a course date transfer. My Host Training must be notified 24hours before the course begins for the transfer to be allowed. Course Cancellations by My Host Training • My Host Training reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment or unexpected instructor emergencies. If a course is canceled, participants will be offered the option to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a full refund. Failed Course Completion • If a student is unsuccessful in a course, they may re-register for the same course on a new date at a discounted rate of 50% off the original fee, up to a maximum of $200 plus applicable taxes. This discount is valid for up to 3 months after the original course date. If the student is unsuccessful a second time, future registrations will be charged at the full price.
