Empowering Youth with Safety Skills and Confidence
The Stay Safe! program is designed to equip children with the essential skills they need to make safe decisions when home alone or out in the community. Aimed at youth aged 9 to 14, this engaging and interactive course encourages independence while teaching the importance of responsibility, respect, and preparedness.
Participants will learn how to stay safe in everyday situations and respond effectively to unexpected events such as bad weather, strangers, or emergencies. The program also includes age-appropriate first aid training to help youth feel more confident and capable when faced with challenges.

Creating and following rules for staying safe alone
Staying safe at home and in the community
Recognizing and responding to unexpected situations
Inclement weather
Strangers or unplanned visitorsFirst Aid Basics, including:
Check, Call, Care and calling EMS/911
Recovery position
Conscious choking (adult/child when alone)
Response to asthma and anaphylaxis (includes EpiPen use)
Treating poisoning, insect stings, cuts, scrapes, splinters, burns, and life-threatening bleeding
This course builds confidence and preparedness, helping youth feel safe and capable when navigating the world on their own.
